Episode 3: Rock Climbing
No better way to start one of the first full days of camp than with one of the most classic mountain activities,- rock climbing. At the climbing crag we meet Aya, one of the campers from Russia. Like many others, Aya came to camp to be challenged and partake in exciting activities; she turned out to be a great rock climber!
Tying into a rope and climbing up a cliff while your friends secure you can seem quite scary at first, and certainly takes a lot of trust! It’s only day three of camp, but many campers are already joking around and helping each other out as if they’ve been friends for years!
The Swiss Mountain Guides are always carefully supervising and ensuring that this is a safe and enjoyable activity for everyone. As campers support and encourage each other, friendships begin to grow even stronger, and leadership skills are already developing! After a full day of conquering fears and challenges, time comes to return to campus. Students end the day with a hearty, home cooked meal and some leisure time.
The Swiss Leadership Camp is a leadership institute of reference and specialises in the best leadership programmes and exciting school and summer camps to develop students’ professional and personal skills.
